Southern Kaduna Senator Empowers Over 4000 Youths, Improves Constituency Security
The Senator representing Southern Kaduna senatorial district, Danjuma La’ah (Shettima Kagoro), in collaboration with Danjuma La’ah Foundation, has empowered 4707 youths in various aspects of profession, especially in skills acquisition and security.
La’ah made this known recently in Kafanchan, while presenting his Score-card after one year in office.
The senator also noted that his Foundation in partnership with Coca-Cola Nigeria, has so far trained 174 youths as small-scale marketers, and will be provided with branded Coca-Cola kiosks, tables and chairs, umbrellas plus 50 creates of assorted drinks with coolers and refrigerators for each trainee as start-up pack.
According to him, “Coca-Cola Plc is waiting for shipment of the last consignment. The disbursements of these items are to be in the next few weeks, as soon as the products arrive the country. All payments of these items has been settled, it is in the sum of N14 million.”
On security, the senator explained that as part of his resolve to ensure peaceful coexistence within his senatorial district and in fulfillment of his promise during his campaign, he has equally engaged 4,350 people, including youths, men and women in the security outfit of his area, which has 87 political wards across the 8 local governments of his constituency.
He further disclosed that he is partnering with the National Unity and Peace Corps (NUPEC), and had also engaged 164 young people to assist in the security of live and property of the entire Southern Kaduna; while 19 people were also supposed to join the federal civil service within the year in review.
Senator La’ah equally used the occasion to present 87 Motorcycles and 16 security Golf Cars to aid the security level in his constituency.
He also made a presentation of 450-capacity Study Centre to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) located at Kpak Kagoro, which will also run programs with Harvard University and other renowned Institutions, with the aid of latest 3D Video Technology. According to him, that can absorb the huge number of students seeking degree admissions, and afford those, who are working and doing businesses, to obtain higher decrees conveniently.
