Plateau State Govt To Introduce A Regulation Law On Public Preaching; Fulani Herdsmen To Operate Within Ranch
Government of Plateau State will soon introduce a Regulation Law aimed at stopping public preaching, which some miscreants have taken advantage of to wreck havoc on innocent people in the state. Governor Simon Lalong made this known, while speaking at an ECWA Congress Meeting shortly after the commissioning of its headquarters on Sunday at Richard Avenue, in Jos North Local Government Area of plateau state.
In another development, the governor also warned Fulani herdsmen in the state that, there is no grazing ground and grazing route or area in the state, and cautioned them to organize themselves and provide a ranch within which to feed their cows.
According to him, “We need to regulate our cattle to avoid unnecessary crisis with the herders; so we have asked them to construct a ranch for their cows.” Also, while commending President Muhammadu Buhari for working hard to better the country, the governor further stressed that, “in the past nobody could probe security vote but this government took a bold step in this direction.”
“We sincerely appreciate everyone that supported this project and contributed in one way or the other towards its actualization; we assure that your Labour in the Lord will not be in vain.”
Speaking also, Senator Jeremiah Useni advocated for physical discipline and revenge on any attack to the killings by Fulani herders. He advised those with any group nursing to plan to attack his constituency to abort now or else they have themselves to blame.
