Kaduna: NDLEA Arrests 18 Suspected Drug Traffickers
In an effort aimed at curbing drug trafficking and abuse, the Kaduna state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested and paraded eighteen suspected drug traffickers, abusers and distributors in the state.
Parading the suspects before newsmen at the command headquarters in Kaduna, the state Commandant, Samuel Azinge, said the Agency is working hard to ensure that all drug traffickers are brought to book.
According to him, the suspects arrested are detained by the agency, but will be investigated, and those found guilty would be charged to court.
Items recovered from them includes; forty-two kilograms of cannabin’s saliva, forty-one psychotropic substances, twenty point-three litres of cough syrup, and twenty-five litres of succodie and other illicit drugs.
While calling on parents to watch over and caution their children, Azinge said, the Agency will not tolerate any act of illegal drug distribution and consumption.
He, however, called on other security outfits to join hands with the Agency to curb abuse of drugs in the state and country as a whole.
