Kaduna APC Splinter Group Unconstitutional, Counterproductive – El-Rufai Supporter
A prominent APC supporter, Mohammed Dini Lawal, has described the splinter group tagged “APC akida” as unconstitutional, counterproductive and not speaking the minds of the people of Kaduna State.
In an interview with newsmen in Kaduna Saturday, Lawal said the agitation of “APC akida” is based on personal interest of position-seekers in government and not the so-called ‘reviving the leadership of the party’ as it has claimed to aim at.
He added that Governor El-Rufai is ruling the state with mission and vision to make it attain its past glory as the capital of defunct northern state and political melting point of the country.
The El-Rufai supporter further said, by going to the media, the clamour of the splinter APC is seeking undue relevance, while it hungers for political positions. He, therefore, described their antics as a ‘misplaced agitation’ despite having educated ones among them.
“It is important for them to note that the issue of APC leadership in Kaduna State is a national one because they have the constitutional rights to organize state congresses to fill in the vacant posts,” he said.
Lawal then added that the problem of party leadership is not with Kaduna State alone, but other states like Katsina and even the National secretariat where the likes of Lai mohammed, who was the National publicity secretary, is now the substantive minister of information and culture.
The supporter further charged the APC splinter group, who calls themselves akida, meaning ideological, to stop chasing shadows and making noise in vain, but join hands with El-Rufai to make Kaduna State great again.
He appealed to Kaduna State citizens to continue to support Governor El-Rufai in his mission to develop the state and make it the pride of the nation.
