Gov Lalong urges Muslims to pray for unity, peace and progress of Nigeria
Muslims in the Plateau and Nigerian have been called upon to use this year’s Ramadan period to pray for the unity, peace and progress of the country.
Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong, made the call in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Jos by the Director of Press, Emmanuel Nanle. He enjoined the Muslim faithful to use the period to reflect on how to live a life worthy of emulation, for the blessings derivable from answered prayers to bear fruits in the unity and peace to be enjoyed in the state and country at large.
The governor emphasized that the virtues of sacrificial love for humanity, giving of arms to the needy and prayers would reflect the gratitude of the Muslim faithful to Allah, while urging them to pray that God should grant every Muslim faithful in the state and the country the grace and strength to be steadfast through the period.
