Eschew Violence, Seek The Face Of God – Rev Bewarang Tells Politicians
Politicians have been cautioned to eschew violence by seeking the face of God and to rededicate their positions to the cause of humanity. Former president of the Church of Christ in all Nations (COCIN), Rev Dr Soja Bewarang, stated this during the dedication of the head office of Tazuk Investment Services Limited, owned by Hon Emmanuel Go’ar at Zarazong, Jos East LGA of Plateau State.
He challenged politicians to use their positions as talents to serve the people, even as they have been tasked to dedicate their privileges to enhance the conditions of the people they represent. According to him, there is nothing wrong with the church supporting those politicians, who stood for the truth and are always prepared to add value to the lives of the people they represent.
Rev Bewarang used the Parable of the Talents in Mathew 25:14-30, which says, “God honours those who use their resources to invest for themselves and the community;” hence, it shows their appreciation of God’s grace in them.
He noted that this singular act of establishing the project at Zarazong, outside his native local government, is an indication of the desire for oneness, unity and the promotion of the state man; hence, all who have gathered for the dedication have come to say, ‘well done, faithful servant, you have been entrusted with little, God has multiplied you for the benefit of others and yourself.’
Chief Executive Officer of the new outfit, which specializes in gas services, and former member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Emmanuel Lokji Go’ar, said it was his humble contribution to church/governments’ efforts towards poverty alleviation, environmental protection, qualitative air, socio-economic development of the state through private sector.
Go’ar, who was the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, said, “Felling of trees for firewood must be discouraged because our habitat is being threatened, and one of the steps is to encourage the use of gas for domestic cooking. Gas is clean, cheap and environmentally friendly. This is the reason for my going into this business.”
Dignitaries, who graced the occasion were former Speaker, Rt, Hon. Titus Ayuba Alams, retired Justice I S Gofwen, District Head of Fobur and Ndeh Alexander Molwus, who spoke during the event, paid glowing tribute to Hon. Emmanuel Go’ar for investing in the lives of the people – thereby ensuring that the unemployed had a future. They tasked the community members to protect the installation as if it were their property.
